Oregon Scientific has launched the ATC9K All-Terrain Video Camera, an HD video recorder that is so durable it can be used in just about any environment.
"This easy-to-use, waterproof and shock-resistant camera can be strapped to a helmet, handlebars, surfboard, or snowboard, so it can follow athletes places they wouldn't dare bring a normal camera – and shoots in high-definition," wrote Oregon Scientific in a news release.

It can handle dirt, grime, mud, high water pressure, being soaked in liquid... pretty much anything. It shoots up to 60 frames per second at 1080p full HD video, and can also capture 5-megapixel still shots. There is also an LCD screen to playback content instantly.

To show off just how much this little beauty can endure, Oregon Scientific has launched a Facebook contest to capture the most intense moments possible on the ATC9K. The grand prize winner will get a package of goodies valued at $750.

In case all those features weren't enough, the camera also is compatible with a separate GPS attachment that will geo-tag everything recorded, and it also has a built-in G-sensor to determine the force of gravity that's being applied while shooting. It's quite an intense little package, and it's available now for around $300.
