The Android Market may have just hit another major milestone. Android Community reports that the App Market has just hit 100,000 submitted apps. This number comes courtesy of AndroLib, which watches over more than just the official Android Market. As a result, 100k is not an entirely accurate depiction of the total available market apps.

There are "only" around 83,000 apps available on the official App Market right now. At this rate of growth though, it won't be long before we hit that 100k mark. In a year or two, we could feasibly see Android outgrow the iTunes App Store.
