Stop the presses! Figuratively. Huge news has just rolled in from JoyStiq. They are reporting that Microsoft has started sending out beta invites for Microsoft Kinect. So far, the invitations appear to be limited to Microsoft Connect users. There are no hard details yet, but the notice states that the beta will be "a unique opportunity to see pre-release software."

Obviously, the question on everyone's mind is whether or not this beta will come with the Kinect hardware. It is hard to see how this test could give Redmond any useful data without it. We'll further as the story develops. If you've received an invite, drop us an email-we'd love to hear from you.
