Archos is trying a different tact with their next upcoming launch. Wireless Goodness reports that the Archos 32 has just popped up on the FCC. As best we can tell, it'll launch with Android 2.1, a 3.2" touchscreen, 8 GB of flash memory, an ARM Cortex A8 processor, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and composite video out.

This new Archos will have an optional upgrade to a DTV receiver. There'll be no external storage options, which seems like a major bummer until you hear the anticipated price point. Odds are, it'll cost somewhere around $150. If this is an attempt to compete with the iPod touch and the Dell Streak, it is a damn good one. The storage is low, but the whole package is impressive enough to be mighty enticing.
