The plot thickens.

HTC has something big planned for September 15. Gizmodo has just posted an invitation the company has sent out for a UK event to see what they've "dreamt" up. The use of that specific word may be a deliberate attempt to hearken back to the HTC Dream, which was the world's first Android smartphone.

Rumor has it, this device may be the HTC Vision, which will be marketed as the G1 Blaze - a successor to that earliest of Android devices. The look of the camera and general angles of the (partially obscured) phone in the invitation lends credence to this theory. We've seen several rumors that this new phone may be part or all of T-Mo's Project Emerald.

This could also be part of the introduction of a Windows Phone 7 device. That platform will launch first in Europe, which gels with the UK location of this event. We'll know for sure in about a month.
