Oh, what a world.

The Droid 2 may be plagued by the same manner of embarrassing issues that marred the otherwise spotless iPhone 4 launch. MobileCrunch reports that earlier users of the new smartphone are reporting some pretty substantial problems with signal loss. Among that tiny group, consensus about the glitch has been pretty much unanimous. Engadget's review shows four of four devices having wild fluctuations based on no discernible factor.

It is very possible that these issues only pertain to early models, or that the problem is something that will be easily fixed in an early patch. That said, we could be looking at a big hardware problem. If that is the case, Motorola may be forced to send out one hell of a recall.
