Of course it is.

Malware has made it to Facebook once again, this time in the guise of a "dislike" button. Promising to give users a chance to show their friends (and not-so-friends) how displeased they are with status update, links, and the like. As appealing as this idea is to some (users have been clamoring for a dislike button for a while now) it appears to be too good to be true. Fudzilla reports that the dislike button is no good.

It masquerades as an application, but all it really does is douse your friends in a rising tide of spam messages. It also invites your friends to download the app, which helps to spread the damn thing far and wide. As always, if a new app sounds too good to be true-it probably is. Check online first before downloading anything new. If the app is bad, odds are someone has complained about it already.
