JBL provides sound system for hot Ferrari exotics

I'm not sure why you would ever need to turn the stereo on in a Ferrari. The awesome exhaust note and the sound of the mechanical perfection that is a car rolling with the prancing horse on the hood would be more than enough for me.

Still, I guess there would be times when you might need to drown out the person in the seat beside you yelling for you to slow down. In those instances, JBL has announced that it is providing the audio system for the Ferrari California and 458 Italia models.

The 458 Italia has 11 speakers inside and a 640-watt DSP amp to pump up the jam. The California roadster has nine sound transducers and a 400W amp. Both of the systems are tuned by JBL to the acoustics of the car. JBL also puts four EDPL Transducers into the headrests on the Italia for improved sound quality. I never really thought about the stereo system sin a Ferrari, it's cool to see that when you spend more on a car than most spend on a house you get a stereo with some thought put into its design.
