ViewSonic has sent out a press release, making their ViewPad 7 Android tablet official ahead of its unveiling at the IFA 2010 show. They are billing this slate as the first 7" Android 2.2 Froyo device. It will have phone functionality as well as a front-facing VGA camera and rear-facing 3 MP camera.

The ViewPad has a G-Sensor, 3G functionality and access to the Android Market. It has a microSD slot (up to 32 GB) and A-GPS, as well as a multitouch display and WiFi. The estimated cost should be no more than £350. A release date has yet to be set.
