An Android iPod rival?

Phillips will be unveiling their iPod competitor at this week's IFA show in Berlin. The GoGear Connect is an Android-powered PMP with some fairly impressive specs. WWWery.com reports that the GoGear will have a 3.2" touchscreen, Android 2.1 and WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS support.

It'll pack Phillips full-sound technology and launch with sound isolation headphones. There will be a camera of undetermined capability, as well as a microSD slot. The GoGear Connect is expected to launch at the end of October in Western Europe, the USA and China for around $315 (16 GB). We'll see it shown off later this week at the IFA show.
