UK Apple site briefly displayed September 8th as iOS 4.1 release date.

Apple has said they will release iOS 4.1 this week, but did not specify a date. Computerworld reports that over the weekend the UK Apple site had a firm date up on the iOS 4.1 page. The date said September 8th, which is tomorrow, Wednesday.

The new iOS release brings the Game Center, iTunes TV show rentals, iTunes Ping, High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo capture and HD Video upload via Wi-fi. Some bug fixes, like the proximity sensor are also in this release.

More interesting is though the iOS 4.2 release which will bring wireless printing and AirPlay.
