A new rumor adds to the likelihood of a new iPad still in 2010

We already reported about the possibility that Apple is releasing a new iPad with the release of iOS 4.2 in November. The iOS update will give the iPad every feature the iPhone 4 has and the new iPod touch 4G offers. It would dramatically push iPad sales for the holidays if Apple would already release iPad 2G.

Apple Insider issued a report today that quotes a source saying that Apple is pushing hard to get a new iPad out in time for the Holidays. The new iPad 2G would support FaceTime video conferencing and would therefore have two cameras like the iPod touch and iPhone 4.

The report also says that Apple is planning to open up FaceTime, but wants to first enable all its products with FaceTime including the Mac computers.

The iPad is already such a dominator in the Tablet space that a new iPad with camera released at a time when gadget shopping is second nature to many people will propell iPad sales even further leaving the competition in the dust.
