Fingers crossed!

Froyo could be coming to the Samsung Galaxy S before the end of this month. AndroidSpin reports that someone inside the Finland branch of Samsung has revealed that the repair department will be getting their new Froyo repair software on 22nd September. This puts things right in line for a September 23rd launch.

Don't take this as hard confirmation of the launch. We could see support for 2.2 on the Gal S hit at different times for different parts of the world. Still, this is definitely a good sign for those of you waiting for the increased speed and battery efficiency of Froyo on your sweet new smartphones.
