The Apple Store offers the new Cinema Display now.

Apple is taking now orders of the new 27-inch Apple LED Cinema Display on the Apple Store. Yesterday we reported that the new Apple display will come soon. "Soon" was in this case 24 hours later.

The new 27-inch Cinema Display has a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 60% more screen real estate than the 24-inch LED Cinema Display. You get a 27-inch widescreen display with a cinematic 16:9 aspect ratio and an astonishing 2,560-by-1,440 resolution. You can connect your LED Cinema Display to any of the current lineup of Mac notebooks and desktops: MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Pro.

With a built-in iSight camera, microphone, 2.1 speaker system, and USB hub, the LED Cinema Display keeps your desktop clutter free.

The new 27-inch Cinema Display sells for $999 and ships in 1-2 weeks from the Apple Store.

As expected the 30-inch and the 24-inch Cinema Displays are no longer available on the Apple Store.
