In August Apple sent out a statement that the white iPhone 4 would be delayed until later this year. Apple did not give any hint on what "later this year" means. Now an email has appeared that a high school student received after emailing Steve Jobs about the iPhone 4 availability for Christmas. Steve Jobs answer is "Christmas is later this year". It is a bit cryptic. It could mean the white iPhone 4 in coming in time for Christmas, but also could mean after the 25th of December. It is of course hard to say if this email exchange is legit. You can see the email on iPhoneDownloadblog.

Apple says that the white iPhone 4 is still coming this year. It of course would make a lot of sense to make it available before Christmas.

A while ago we featured a rumor that a new iPhone 4 with modified antenna design would launch on September 30th when the bumper program runs out.
