Don't Miss: This How to find Fingerlings in Stock

The plot thickens.

This weekend, TechCrunch received info from a source that Facebook would be launching a phone. Facebook's PR people quickly responded with a practiced denial. The same sort of denial Google used to quash rumors of the Nexus One.

"The story is not accurate. Facebook is not building a phone."

Which seems pretty cut-and-dry, except immediately afterwards CNET reported that they too have heard rumors that the social media company has been talking with manufacturers and carriers about the possibility of a "Facebook" branded phone. One source placed the project in its "very early" stages and stated that the company has not decided whether or not to proceed.

If Facebook does go on with this plan, it could be a really good idea, akin to extending the benefits of Google Voice to every communication tool your phone has at its disposal.
