The BlackBerry Devcon starts Sept. 27.

RIM is holding its developer conference next week. The Wallstreet Journal reports today that RIM could unveil a Tablet at the conference. In August we reported about a rumor that RIM will launch the BlackPad in November. A month ago the purchase of QNX was brought into connection with the BlackBerry Tablet. QNX is a maker of real-time operating systems. The current iPad competition from the Android camp is not quite ready to take on Apple's Tablet. It will be interesting to see if RIM can pull off a real iPad competitor.

The BlackPad is rumored to have a 7-inch screen, two cameras, Bluetooth and wireless connection via a BlackBerry phone. RIM bought QNX in August. I do not see how RIM would be able to adopt and integrate a QNX OS in a new product that launches this year.

The BlackBerry Devcon 2010 is mainly focused on the new BlackBerry 6 OS that RIM rolled out on the new BlackBerry Torch.
