Because Verizon loves Microsoft's money.

The LG Vortex has been spotted by BGR. This entry-level smartphone is rumored to pack a 3.2" HVGA display, GPS, WiFi and a 3 MP camera. It'll have Bluetooth and a microSDHC slot. The processor is 600 MHz and the OS is Android 2.2.

Verizon is the carrier, which unfortunately means that the Vortex has been designated a "Bing-phone". The default search engine cannot be changed, and the Google Search widget may prove unavailable at launch. It's definitely a caveat worth considering before you settle on a smartphone.
