Windows Phone 7 won't be able to multitask, but it will be able to tether. WMExperts reports that tethering support has been confirmed by Microsoft's Director for WP7 in a weekly podcast.

While tethering will be possible at launch, it will be the carrier's decision to allow it on their network or not. This is a nice bonus for folks who use tethering-friendly networks, like T-Mobile. The rest of you had better start crossing your fingers now.
