Power tools FTW!

Over in the UK each year there is a competition to find the fastest mini dragster powered by power tools like chainsaws and leaf blowers. One man built his entry for the competition, held in conjunction with the Royal Navy and Five's Gadget Show, with power from circular saws.

The saws in question were six big 16-inch Makita circular saws. The designer of the vehicle is Barry Lee. The mini dragsters can hit speeds as high as 70mph on a 320-foot drag strip.

Lee has tested his saw-powered ride already and he is keeping its speed to himself. According to Lee, the test was better than expectations. Lee dubbed his noisy dragster Bolt Lightning.
