Virtual fitting room needs no guy chair

Most of the guys I know don’t try on clothes. We just buy our size and take the stuff home. My wife on the other hand can spend hours trying stuff on and then not buy anything. A new augmented reality app that works with a webcam has been unveiled that allows women to try on swimsuits in a virtual fitting room.

The app is from a company called immediaC and the swimsuits are just projected on the screen and then the user walks forward or backwards in the image until the suit is aligned on their body to see what it looks like.

This is a cool concept and would be great for people who like to order clothing online. The company doesn't specify what platform the app will be for, since they say webcam I presume it will run on notebooks and netbooks rather than mobile phones.
