The rumored Oct. 11 WP7 Launch Event is happening.

Microsoft was rumored to host a Windows Phone 7 launch even next Monday. An Event entry on Microsoft has just confirmed this according to Engadget. The Windows Phone 7 Worldwide launch event starts at 3pm Eastern. The agenda reveals that T-Mobile will be presenting exclusive T-Mobile powered Windows Phone 7 devices. AT&T was actually rumored last week to be the exclusive launch partner of WP7. Apparently this rumor is bogus.

I also think it would be a stupid move from Microsoft to just launch with one carrier. The WP7 devices are going to be offered in the UK by all major carriers. This how it should be done.
