LG will wait for tablet specific Android OS

Google has stated on more than one occasion that android in the flavors on the market right now wasn’t appropriate for tablet computers. That fact hasn't stopped many companies from rushing to bring tablets running Android to market.

LG was one of the first that had plans of releasing an android tablet soon. LG has now come forward and said that it was delaying those Android tablet plans and would not launch with Android 2.2 on the tablet. The tablet was slated for release early next year.

LG officials say that the company is talking to Google to find out what version is most appropriate. I would bet that Google has told LG exactly when a version of Android just for a tablet will hit and we will see the machines shortly thereafter.
