The ultimate smart-cameraphone.

Smartphone cameras don't have to be anemic and blurry. If you'd like to merge your pocket camera with your smartphone, Altek may be able to help you. They've just sent out a press release announcing the launch of the Leo 3.5G. This Android smartphone has an HD-ready 14 megapixel camera.

The display is 3.2" and the OS is Android 2.1. Expect WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5G HSPA and WCDMA. There's a GPS, accelerometer, digital compass and handwriting recognition. The Leo can take a 32 GB microSD card. The camera has 3x zoom and the ability to shoot 720p. There's smile and blink detection.

No word yet on cost or carriers, but hopefully an announcement is imminent.
