Will this phone be worthy of your trophy shelf?

HTC will be responsible for no fewer than half of the handful of Windows Phone 7 launch phones, and it aims to bring different touches to each of them in its varied offering. Let's take a look at exactly what HTC is packing under the hood for its currently UK-exclusive Trophy.

The Trophy looks to be one of Windows Phone 7's entry-level devices, though an entry-level Windows Phone 7 phone still has to meet a pretty high set of technical specs.

Here's exactly what you can expect for the HTC Trophy, one of the few Phone 7 gadgets that you'll actually be able to pick up for free:

Screen size: 3.8 inches
Processor: 1 GHz
Other Specs: 800x480 resolution, 8 GB internal storage, 512 MB of ROM, 576 MB of RAM
Camera: 5 MP, HD-capable
Carrier: Vodafone
Price: Free with two-year service agreement

So in other words, it meets pretty much the minimum requirements to get certification as a Windows Phone 7 device. Nothing more, nothing less.

Users must sign up for a service plan of at least 25 pounds/month to receive the subsidized $0 price point.
