Data turns into a goldmine for Big Red

Good news from Big Red today. Their Q3 results were released today. Earnings per share are down slightly from Q3 of last year, but most of that is apparently due to some substantial one-time costs. LTE infrastructure will be finished by the end of 2013.

Verizon's revenue from data services has increased significantly, now totaling 35.7% of all service revenue. That is up 20% from Q3 of 2009. Cash flow from operations was $8.3 billion this quarter, and expense per customer was $26.88.
