AT&T Now Using LTE-compatible SIMs?

The march to 4G continues.

4G is well on its way to widespread adoption. AT&T won't have their LTE network up until 2011, but Boy Genius has received an internal memo revealing the carrier's plan to issue LTE-compatible SIM cards.

There are eight different LTE SIMs, and the memo instructs employees in how to make sure the LTE handsets have the proper SIM cards. This is a big move towards launching an LTE network. By the end of 2011, all four main US carriers will have a 4G-equivalent network. Sprint/Clearwire WiMax, T-Mobile HSPA+, Verizon and AT&T LTE.
