SmartStart gets updated

The Viper SmartStart alarm and remote starting system has been around for a while now. The SmartStart system was originally on the iPhone and recently has expanded to work on Android devices as well. The SmartStart system has an app for the smartphone that lets the user start their car from the phone and alerts the user if the alarm goes off.

Viper has announced that it has updated the SmartStart system to version 2.0. The main feature of the new version is that it has free roadside assistance through the Viper Motor Club. The app will allow the user to get assistance for breakdowns, flat tires and more.

The system is also cheaper with prices starting as low as $199 as an add on to a compatible Viper alarm system. The VSS3000 Remote Start System is $299 with the VSS5000 Security and Remote Start system going for $499.
