It is this time of the year again. Europe has already observed Daylight Saving Time (DST) yesterday. Prepare for missed meetings with your peers in Europe next week. The United States is changing the time one week later on November 7th. The Institute for Dynamic Educational Advancement (IDEA) has just launched a new iPhone app called SpringAhead that lets you discover when and where people observe Daylight Saving Time and Summer Time. The app tells you when to switch your clocks.

The DST app is quite fancy featuring a 3D globe. You can twirl the globe and zoom into a select country. Not all countries are observing DST. The app tells you that and also the dates the time changes occur. SpringAhead also has integrated email, Facebook and Twitter communications. This way you can alert your colleagues and friends to spring ahead or fall back in time.

You can buy the app on iTunes for $1.99.

By the way I hate DST. It messes up my sleep twice a year. Hey World, can we just all stop doing Daylight Saving Time. Thank you.
