The Samsung Galaxy Tab Android Tablet is one of the few interesting iPad alternatives this fall. All major carriers will start to offer the Galaxy Tab this month. T-Mobile is first. You can actually already pre-order a T-Mobile Galaxy Tab on Amazon for $699.99. Engadget has now published an in-depth review of the Galaxy Tab. Engadget declares that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is the best Android Tablet on the market. They also say the Galaxy Tab is the first true competitor to the Apple iPad. The only problem is Android is not ready as a Tablet platform and the lack of apps.

Quote from the review: "Remember, that when the iPad launched many developers were already working on tablet specific apps and Apple had an iPad app store in place. Put simply, without that ecosystem and support from Google, Samsung is left to its own devices -- literally."
