MAYBE.

Looking to buy a new MacBook Air? You may want to read the rest of this article first. Cult of Mac has collected a laundry list of issues that early-adopters of the new machine have noticed. Kernel panics (analogous to a blue screen of death) have been reported, as have strange video issues.
Update:
Screen issues already fixed in OS X 10.6.5.

One user claims his 11" Air displays "weird colors in vertical lines" and then freezes. Another user complains that his 13" Air has crashed three times, twice blank and once after the same weird screen issue. Other users, including writers for Cult of Mac, have noticed the same visual issues and some kernel panics.

Of course, this is no reason to straight-out NOT buy a Mac. Even with these issues, you're unlikely to experience worse problems than you would with a cheaper PC. Macs live and breathe on the fact that they are more reliable and higher quality than their counterparts. The iPhone 4 issues, coupled with these new problems, makes me worry a little about Apple.
