Earlier this morning we reported about a rumor that Apple has cut some capabilities from AirPrint. AirPrint in iOS 4.2 would at launch not support printers connected via a Mac. AirPrint would only directly support HP printers with ePrint feature.

An Apple iPad owner has emailed Steve Jobs about it and the response of Steve Jobs was "AirPrint has not been pulled. Don't believe everything you read." The problem is that the question was not exact. The email asked if AirPrint has been cut. It did not ask if Apple has cut AirPrint to Mac and Windows connected printers.

We will get clarity about this on Friday. The latest rumors say that iOS 4.2 will be released on Friday and that Mac OS X 10.6.5 is going to be released today.
