HTC Surround and LG Quantum are almost free.

Microsoft launched Windows Phone 7 sales on Monday. Today the Amazon Wireless store is already selling two Windows Phone 7 phones for only a Penny with new contract. As anticipated the Windows Phone 7 are sold at discounts online like Android phones.

The best deal on a Windows Phone 7 on launch day was $75 for the HTC Surround for AT&T. Now you just have to sign a contract and pay a symbolic penny to own a new Windows Phone 7. I would not draw any quick conclusions about slow sales for the new Windows Phones, but prices would not drop to zero if there would be a supply issue.

The HTC HD7 for T-Mobile has not changed in price. it is still $149.99 on Amazon. The Samsung Focus is also still only available directly from AT&T and has not showed up on online phones stores for sale.

Windows Phone 7 Penny Deals:

HTC Surround for AT&T
The HTC Surround is pretty unique. Rather than sliding to reveal a QWERTY keyboard, it packs a gigantic Dolby Mobile and SRS surround sound speaker under the touchscreen. The HTC Surround runs on a 1GHz processor with 448MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. It has 16GB of internal storage. The camera is a 5MP shooter with auto-focus and flash, plus 720p video recording. The Surround has a G-Sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor. It has Wi-fi b/g/n.

LG Quantum for AT&T
The LG Quantum features include 3.8-inch screen with 800x480px, kick stand, 16GB storage, 1Ghz CPU, 5MP camera, Wifi 802.11n, DLNA and slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Shipping of the LG Quantum starts mid-November.
