Because you can only build so many virtual farms

Having veritably conquered the world of digital farming, social gaming giant Zynga is taking the next big step forward with a new game

Zynga is calling CityVille its "most social game" to date. Just like FarmVille, you're able to check into other players' cities and help each other out with resources and time management.

CityVille takes it to the next level, making friend interaction more important than ever before as players try to build up franchises, earn notoriety for their city, and handle many more tasks simultaneously than was ever required in FarmVille.

"We are thrilled to bring the world our most social game to date – building on the best-of-breed gameplay that Zynga fine-tuned with FarmVille and FrontierVille. Instead of harvesting crops you're harvesting your neighborhood, instead of clearing your friend's frontier you're working on a friend's franchise," said the game's general manager Sean Kelly.

CityVille has some of Zynga's most advanced visuals yet, with 3D-rendered buildings and much more content on a single screen at any given time. Additionally, it's the first time Zynga is launching a game in multiple languages at the same time - 5 to be exact.

CityVille is available now on Facebook and at CityVille.com.
