Google TV products already on sale

It just launched a few weeks ago, but Sony's Google TV solutions are already going on sale, thanks to Black Friday and an increased push to get the devices into consumers' homes for the holidays.

This will be the only year that Sony gets a monopoly on the Google TV-powered TV set market, as oher companies like Vizio, Toshiba, and Samsung are all eyeing similar products for next year.

So Sony's doing all it can to get people to look at its Internet TV this year as a unique and exclusive offering. As such, at all Sony Style stores, Best Buy, and the two stores' respective websites, these are the sale prices affecting the current Google TV products:

- 46-inch Sony Internet TV: $1,199 (down from $1,399)
- 40-inch Sony Internet TV: $898 (down from $998)
- Google TV Blu-ray player: $299 (down from $399)

Google TV lets viewers have full Internet access on their TV screen without interrupting the current show, movie, or Blu-ray Disc they're watching. It is the most powerful IPTV platform to date.

The sale prices are effective through November 29. If you want Google TV for Christmas, this is the time to buy it, because it's very unlikely these prices will go any lower before the holidays.
