Ford updates Mykey

I have already mentioned that Ford will be on hand at CES 2011 and as each day goes by we hear about some more of the cool tech that Ford will be talking about at the show. Ford has updated the MyKey system with a new feature that parents will really like.

The MyKey system can now be programmed to block explicit satellite radio stations from being played in the car. This is in addition to the features that the MyKey system already offers with a persistent seatbelt reminder, the ability to mute the radio until seatbelts are buckled, and more.

The key feature of MyKey is the ability to limit the top speed of the vehicle to 65, 70, 75, or 80 mph. The radio volume can be limited and traction control and other safety systems can’t be deactivated.
