New sports cam coming to CES

Swann Security is known for its line of security cameras and products. The company is entering into the sports camera market with a new camera called the SportsCam that is waterproof. The camera comes in a rugged waterproof housing and has lots of mounting options to attach the camera to all sorts of devices.

The camera records in 640 x 480 resolution and can snap still pics as well. It can store video and still pics to microSD cards up to 16GB. Power for the camera comes from a rechargeable battery that charges via USB and has 2.5 hours of life per charge.

The camera is waterproof to 65 feet. Mounting options included are three Velcro straps, head/arm straps, a pouch, several clips, and more. The camera will sell for $99 and will ship in February.
