On-the-go TV gets...on-the-go-er.

Last night during the CES Unveiled event, I had a chance to stop by the Open Mobile Video Coalition's booth. They were showing off the recent advances to the DTV platform, including more than two dozen new DTV-enabled devices and receivers.

There are currently 70 stations "on the air", so to speak. CES 2011 will see the first mobile DTV broadcast of 3DTV, glasses-free. Also here is Winegard's cioTV, which is the world's largest stock automobile display. Because driving isn't dangerous enough.

I whipped out my camera and asked the OMVC lady to show me what DTV can do. She obliged.

Video quality looked great. Each channel took a ton of time to load (we were several floors down) but once they did, everything moved quickly. I asked the nice PR lady to walk me through the rest of her DTV gadgets. And she did!
