Verizon iPhone launches February 3rd?

Is the wait for the Verizon iPhone really over in less than a month? A new report from BGR would suggest that. According to a BGR source close to Apple the company has blocked employees from taking vacations between Feb. 3rd and Feb 6th. The four day vacation blackout is supposed to be in affect in serveral regions in the United States.

If Apple is really launching a Verizon iPhone on Feb. 3rd is not confirmed. It might just as well be the white iPhone 4 or already the new iPad 2. Although I believe that Apple has killed the white iPhone 4 for good and we will see a white iPhone only in the next iPhone generation (iPhone 5).

Back the Verizon iPhone. The Verizon iPhone is rumored since years already. It would finally break the AT&T iPhone exclusivity. The iPhone is already available from multiple carriers in most regions around the world. The US is the last major market where only one carrier is offering the iPhone.

The problem is see is that Apple is going to launch a new iPhone 5 some when beginning of Summer. If the Verizon iPhone is just a CDMA enabled iPhone 4 than you will own an outdated iPhone within only a few months.

Verizon sent out invitations for a January 11th event. It could be that Verizon is making the iPhone announcement on that day and sale starts on Feb. 3.
