Highly successful coupon company Groupon is taking aim at the Super Bowl with a pregame ad buy. According to Adage Groupon wanted to advertise during Super Bowl 2011 as well, but has been to late as Fox sold out the Super Bowl ad inventory very early.

Groupon so far has not been active advertising on TV and just grew by word-of-mouth and online campaigns. Croupon made recent headlines when they declined a $6 billion takeover offer from Google.

Update:
Groupon scored a Super Bowl Ad spot.

Just like last year, I4U News will be featuring again the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. Of course the Super Bowl 2011 for Geeks Guide will be all about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the big game. The Super Bowl XLV will take place in the Dallas Cowboys stadium on February 6th 2011.
