Different folks have different ideas of what a performance car is. Take the younger generation of drivers that came up on movies like the Fast & the Furious. To many of them performance cars are small 4-cylinder vehicles that you can put performance parts on. To performance car guys like me a car needs to be American and have V8 in it.

For the fans of Japanese performance, Honda has pulled the wraps off a couple new concept cars in Detroit. The concepts are for the 2010 Honda Civic and they look pretty cool. The cars have i-VTEC inside and are more fuel efficient inside. A new civic Hybrid is also in the works for better fuel economy.

The Civic SI concept has an aggressive design with an angular front and mesh grill along with 19" wheels and more. The new Civics will hit dealers in the spring. You can check out the video at the source link here to see the unveiling.
