Roush blower for 2011 5.0 Mustnag debuts with warranty

Generally, aftermarket performance parts, new cars, and warranties don't go together at all. For instance if you have a new Mustang with a 5.0 in it and you strap on your average blower the powertrain warranty for your new ride is dead.

Thankfully, for 5.0 owners looking for more power the newly introduced Roush supercharger kit for 2011 Mustangs isn't your average blower. Roush warrants the powertrain on the car for 3-years or 36,000 miles once you install the blower. That's not quite as long as the factory 6/60 powertrain warranty but is impressive to get the warranty at all.

The Roush blower takes the already potent 412hp V8 5.0 in the Mustang and pushes the car to 525hp with a custom Roush tune. That should be good for somewhere around 440hp at the wheels. The new 2011 kit uses the R2300 TVS blower rather than the M90 roots blower Roush has used on its past cars with warranties. The kit will set you back $6,099 if you buy it directly from Roush.
