New Angry Birds Rio game cometh!

If you are a big fan of Angry Birds you will be glad to hear this news. A new version of the game is coming in March that is the result of a cross promotion deal with Rovio and Twentieth Century Fox. The cross promotion combines Angry Birds with the cool animated feature film coming to theaters in April called Rio.

I have seen several promotions for Rio; it follows a pair of macaws on adventures in a city called Rio and it looks really funny. The special Angry Birds game will see the cast of birds captured and taken to Rio where they have to defeat their captors and escape.

Naturally, the defeat of the captors requires the birds to bash things. Angry Birds Rio will have 45 levels and will get new levels via updates. The game will be offered on smartphones and tablets around the world. It's not clear if this will be a free game or if the game will cost money.
