New C-class coupe coming this fall

Mercedes has unveiled the new 2012 C-class Coupe and the car is hot. The new car will hit showrooms in September and will come in the C350 version and the C250 version. The C350 will pack 302hp and the C250 will get 201hp.

The new coupes have a lower silhouette that is 1.5-inches flatter than the sedan version and has a short front overhang, long hood, and a steeply raked windshield. The taillights are LED and the C250 gets standard aluminum trim inside with the C350 getting Burl Walnut. Ash olive matte wood trim is optional.

The inline 4-cylinder of the C250 is good for 0-60 times of about 7.1 seconds and 24mpg combined. The C250 is a V6 good for 5.9 seconds 0-60 and 22mpg combined fuel economy. "By extending the C-Class portfolio, we are consciously targeting new customers," says Dr. Joachim Schmidt, Head of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars. "The new model is youthful, stylish and expressive. What we are offering is an exceptionally sporty way to enter the world of the Mercedes-Benz coupe."
