Survey hints to MacBook Air 3G.

The new Apple MacBook Air is a bestseller for Apple. The first MacBook Air was only adopted by aficionados. The new MacBook Air has found a big target group. The only barrier is the cost of at least $1,000 for a MacBook Air.

Apple seems to want to make sure that the next MacBook Air is going to build on the current sales momentum. The issues a rare costumer survey to ask MacBook Air owners about future features they would like to see.

Among the topic is 3G. Integrated 3G is already wide-spread among sub-sized Windows Laptops. A 3G MacBook Air totally makes sense for heavy mobile users. Other aspects Apple was asking MacBook Air customers are about data syncing and I/O usage. Apple Insider has published the MacBook Air questionnaire.

I expect the new MacBook Air (release in Fall?) to have more CPU power, 3G Option and bigger SSDs. The current MacBook Air models are on sale on Amazon.com.
