Buy This Now On Amazon

The iPad 2 launched yesterday in the United States amidst long lines and online sellout. Anecdotal reports say that Apple Stores across America had limited iPad 2 supply. The picture at Apple resellers was not any better. It looks like Apple could have sold tons more new iPads if they would have made enough.

On Friday the online shipping times raised quickly to 2-3 weeks. Now you have to wait up to a month when you order a new iPad 2 online today. The only chance now is to hope your local Apple store gets new stock and you are first at the scene to buy one.

I already see Apple delaying the European launch of the iPad 2, like they did with the original iPad because of the U.S. demand. This would of course again traumatize European Apple fans who are already pissed off that they have to wait until March 25th. Some die-hard Apple fans surely flew over to NYC again to bring home a new iPad 2 to Europe.
