We've known about the upcoming Archos 7 tablet for a while. The specs have been leaked out since before the iPad's launch. As a result, we haven't really thought of Archos much over the last few weeks. Now, however, SlashGear reports that a second mystery Android tablet could be coming to CeBIT 2010.

Archos stated that they have “good value Android tablets that are specially designed for use in the home.” While that's translated from German, the message comes across pretty clear. Since we know there is a 7” version incoming, it is very possible that the 'mystery' device will be a 9” tablet. Hopefully this one will have more going for it than the current Archos 9 PC tablet, which uses a resistive touchscreen.
If Archos really wants to compete with the iPad, they're going to need to up their game a bit. The current Archos tablets seem more like MIDs. They lack the slim, stylish form factor that devices like the Adam and HP Slate and iPad have, and they also lack the portability. 9” is smaller than the iPad, yet Archos intends this to be a 'home' tablet with awful battery life? I'm not sure how well that's going to go over, fellas.
