App Developer detects iOS 5 crash reports.

Apple will spread the the details of iOS 5 at the WWDC 2011 in June. The release of iOS 5 is expected to happen in September along with the release of the iPhone 5. According to iPhone App developer FutureTap (via 9to5Mac), Apple is testing apps on iPhone 4 and first generation iPads running iOS 5. Further more also AT&T has already iOS 5 in their testing lab according to tracked IP addresses.

It is hard to say if Apple is already really far along with iOS 5 or still on the expected September release schedule. There is not much known what iOS 5 will bring on new features. There maybe a new kind of multitasking interface. The mystical iTunes cloud service should also play a major role in iOS 5.

Why is this important:
iOS 5 along with the iPhone 5 needs to come out ahead of the Android crowd to make the crucial Fall and Holiday shopping season a major success for Apple. Apple is giving Android room to increase market share over the summer. In Fall Apple needs to come out with something major to counter that trend.
