Listen up, Pre owners, we've got a juicy scoop for you. Pre Central.net reports that a Verizon contact has informed them that the 'hard date' for the release of webOS 1.4 is set to be February 25th. The update will drip out to 100,000 devices at a time.

Users will also be able to install the update on their own. WebOS 1.4 is a big update. If the rumors are right, it'll bring video recording and Flash 10.1 compatibility (though not, yet, Flash 10.1), and a tiny speed improvement. Sounds pretty great!
