Microsoft Back to School 2011 Free Xbox 360 Deal available in Online Stores

Microsoft makes it very easy for Students to benefit from the free Xbox 360 offer.

Last week we reported that Microsoft is offering an interesting Back To School Deal. Starting May 22nd, students buying a new Windows 7 Computer priced at $699 or more will also get a free Xbox 360 4GB console. At the time we posted the initial report the details of the deal were not ready. Now Microsoft has posted the details on their Windows Facebook Page. Let's skip making fun of Microsoft for having to use Facebook. To get the free Xbox 360 4GB (a $199.99 value) you just need your .edu email address to purchase a Windows 7 PC online at participating retailers.

You can get the Microsoft Back to School 2011 deal at Best Buy, HP, Dell and the Microsoft Store. A student ID is required when you shop at a Best Buy or Microsoft Store in your local mall.

In case you do not want a free Xbox 360, Microsoft also has a 10% off promotion for college students and high school seniors. You can get all the details and links to participating stores on the Windows Facebook page.

The Apple Back To School 2011 deal is expected to be unveiled this week. Maybe Apple will up their deal because of Microsoft's hot free Xbox back to school promotion.
